a.k.a TiredMan
Dafyr
- first of all: ‘Dafyr’ means nothing, except that it is his name...
the name dafyr has a long history, to make it short:
‘Da’ is used as article (thx-tw),
‘fyr’ is the name itself. (and icelandic for fire)
All of his friends (even some of their parents) call him ‘fyr’
(pronounce it like the german ‘für’; ‘dafür’)
Music: Dafyr started deejaying in the winter 92/93 with his first dj-mixer (still in use...), a Technics SL-whatever (had only a wheel for pitching)
and one of the first terrible 1210-copies.
After months of training and spending all accessable money in
records he started playing private parties
and begann getting familiar to be the dj at a party.
- In winter ‘94 first visit of the Tresor-Club.
In summer ‘95 he started playing at Headquaters, and in a little club called ‘suicide'...
For 2 or 3 years he also managed the HQ-evenings together with all of old-HQ’s (those who know-know). From ‘98 on he played gigs at fridays in Tresor under the pride CapitalB.-flag together with Dry,
then he changed to play in the Globus, nomore with a close partner.
He also plays at other berlin clubs (SO36, Ostgut), in other towns,
on open-airs like NatureOne2K, in greece...
But home is where the heart is: Tresor Berlin.

After years of residency in Tresor as a Dj, he finally started producing tracks seriously,
and there will be more than this… if some time is remaining.
That’s the way it goes. Some it takes longer…
The track ‘sleepy hollow’ is the first release as TiredMan and was created with no exiting things,
so it isn’t necessary to tell all equipment that was used (and no one want's to hear i guess),
but big thanks goes out to
Rampe D Music, they know why - like Joe said: ’with a little help from my friends…’!
